2006/42/EC

Machinery Directive

EMC Directive

CE marking applies to all three of our current commercial robot platforms — the RZTL-1 GangBi, RZTL-1W GangBi L1-W, and Tongchui M1. Each model has undergone a separate conformity assessment covering the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC), EMC Directive (2014/30/EU), Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU), and Radio Equipment Directive (2014/53/EU). The CE declaration of conformity is model-specific and can be provided for each unit upon request.

Yes. We issue a signed EU Declaration of Conformity for every CE-marked robot we ship. The DoC identifies the manufacturer (Shaanxi Smart Innovation Future Technology Co., Ltd.), the product model, all applicable EU directives, and the harmonized standards used in the conformity assessment. For most machinery categories, the EU Machinery Directive allows manufacturers to self-declare conformity after completing a thorough risk assessment and technical file — this is the route we follow. Third-party notified body involvement is only mandatory for specific high-risk machinery categories listed in Annex IV of the Machinery Directive. Quadruped inspection robots do not fall under Annex IV, so our self-declaration process is fully compliant with EU law. Our technical file is available for review by competent authorities upon request.

Yes. The Radio Equipment Directive (RED, 2014/53/EU) specifically covers all wireless communication modules integrated into our robots, including Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11), 4G LTE, 5G NR, and UWB positioning modules. Compliance testing confirms that radio frequency emissions fall within EU spectrum allocations and do not interfere with licensed frequency bands. This is particularly important for deployments in facilities with sensitive equipment such as data centers, hospitals, or power substations.

Adding a custom payload may require a reassessment of CE conformity, depending on the nature of the modification. If the payload introduces new electrical connections, radio transmitters, or changes the robot’s center of gravity and mechanical safety profile, the integrator or end-user becomes responsible for assessing whether the modified configuration remains compliant with applicable directives. We recommend consulting with a qualified CE compliance engineer before deploying heavily modified configurations in EU-regulated environments.
